Workwear embroidery for uniform programmes

Textile Print has been embroidering company logos onto staff uniforms from our Limerick workshop since 1994. Manufacturing sites, pharma, engineering contractors and multi site operations across Ireland.

Your logo is digitised once and stored on file. Every reorder, every new starter, every site, embroidered identically. That is the difference between a uniform programme and a series of one off orders.

Inside our embroidery workshop

Three generations, under one roof on the Dock Road. Digitising, embroidery, trimming and quality checks all happen here, which is why we can tell you exactly where your order is when you ring.

Everything in the video is in house. No brokering, no third party decorator, no gap in the chain when a deadline moves.

What we embroider

Logos, names and job titles, on the garments Irish teams actually wear.

Polo shirts

Cotton, poly cotton and moisture wicking. XS to 5XL, usually three per person.

Softshells and jackets

Softshells, waterproofs and bodywarmers. Backing chosen per fabric so the logo sits square.

Hoodies and fleeces

Warehouse, yard and early shifts. Thread holds where print cracks after a season of hot washes.

Shirts and knitwear

Oxford shirts, quarter zips and v neck knits for office and management teams.

Hi vis and PPE

Certified garments embroidered without compromising the fluorescent or reflective areas. Full range at HiVisWorkwear.ie.

Names and job titles

Applied per garment under the logo. Standard on site management, healthcare and front of house kit.

What a starter pack usually looks like

Four packs we build most often. Tell us the team and we will price the equivalent for yours.

Production and manufacturing

  • 3 polos
  • 1 hoodie or fleece
  • 1 softshell

Logo left chest on every piece, name or department where the site requires identification.

Site and engineering

  • 2 hi vis polos
  • 1 hi vis softshell
  • 1 bodywarmer
  • 1 hoodie for off site

Logo positioned so the certified fluorescent and reflective areas stay intact.

Office and management

  • 1 quarter zip
  • 1 gilet
  • 2 oxford shirts

Smaller, finer logo at a tighter density so it sits flat rather than stiffening the fabric.

Front of house

  • 3 polos with name and role
  • 1 fleece or knit

Names applied per garment, so a new starter pack is a same week job once we hold your file.

How it works

Your logo is digitised once, sewn as a sample, then held on file. Every reorder after that skips setup.

01

Send your brief

Garments, quantities, size split, logo positions, deadline. Upload your logo in the best quality you have.

02

Quote in 24 hours

Itemised by garment and position, with the method we recommend and why.

03

Approve the proof

We digitise, sew a sample and photograph it on the actual garment. Nothing runs unsigned.

04

Embroidered and dispatched

Run in Limerick, trimmed and checked by hand, shipped nationwide. Two to three weeks, five to ten days on repeats.

Embroidery is priced on stitch count and position, never on colours. A ten colour logo costs the same as a one colour logo.

Workwear embroidery FAQs

What is digitising and do I pay for it every time?

Digitising turns your logo file into a stitch path the machine can read, with sequence, density and underlay set by hand for the fabric it is going on. You pay for it once. We hold the file at our Limerick workshop, so every reorder skips the setup and the cost.

Is embroidery priced per colour like screen printing?

No. Screen printing charges per colour because every colour needs its own screen. Embroidery does not. What moves the price is stitch count, so the size and detail of the logo, and how many positions you want it in.

Will embroidery damage a softshell or a waterproof jacket?

Not when it is done properly. Technical outer layers need the right backing and a density chosen for the fabric, and on some waterproof shells we will recommend a different position or a patch instead. It is the most common thing we see done badly on jackets decorated elsewhere.

Can you embroider hi vis without voiding the certification?

Yes, within limits. Certified hi vis has minimum areas of fluorescent and retroreflective material, so a logo has to be sized and positioned so those areas stay intact. We will tell you straight if a requested position would compromise the garment.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Thread is matched to your brand colours at digitising stage and the palette is stored with the file, so the same shades come out on every reorder and every site.

Do you supply the garments or can we send our own?

Both. Most clients let us supply, because we can put a range of price points in front of you and we carry the sizes. If you are tied to a particular brand or you already hold stock, send it in and we will decorate it.

What is the minimum order?

We embroider from 10 garments. If we already hold your logo on file there is no real minimum, which is what makes new starter packs straightforward.

What file format do you need for our logo?

A vector file is ideal, so .ai, .eps or .pdf. A high resolution PNG or JPG will usually do. If all you have is the logo off your website, send it anyway, we redraw plenty of them.

We’ve been getting our T-shirts and staff clothing from Textile Print and Embroidery for around 30 years now, which probably says it all.
Over the years, Cian and the team have always looked after us extremely well. They’re friendly, reliable, easy to deal with and always willing to help. The quality has consistently been excellent, but just as importantly, there has always been a very personal, family feel to the service.
After working together for three decades, we see them as much more than just a supplier. We’re delighted to continue supporting another family business and would happily recommend them to anyone.
From all of us at McDermott’s Pub, Doolin.
We found Cian and the team at Textile Print very helpful with design ,colour choice and type of print used including embroidery ,for our St.Tola Cheese braded jackets and caps ,especially when we had such a short turnaround time for an event .I would recommend using this company .Siobhán MD .

I’ve been dealing with Textile Print since our first charity cycle in 2008. Cian looked after us for our sixth cycle last month and as usual the attention to detail, costing and delivery of the final product was excellent. Options for all price ranges and a great choice of products for every customer. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any of your needs

We’ve had a great experience working with this textile company for our staff clothing needs. The quality of the garments is consistently excellent—durable, comfortable, and well-finished, even with frequent use and most importantly washes well. We have been dealing with their team for well over 16 years and have found them to be professional and easy to deal with from the start. Overall, we’re very satisfied with both the products and the service. Highly recommended!!
